Kilchoman – 13 Year Old Jubilee Edition 2025 (70cl, 50%)

This is a 13 year old Islay single malt from Kilchoman, released in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV to mark the distillery's 20th anniversary. Kilchoman rarely issues whiskies with an age statement, which makes this a notable release for the farm distillery. It matured in a combination of bourbon barrels, octave casks and Calvados casks. The nose is fragrant and delicate, with fresh pineapple, hibiscus and lemon sherbets. On the palate come herbaceous notes, dried apple granola, caramelised puffed wheat and buttered popcorn. The finish is light and graceful, with orchard fruits and a zesty freshness.
