This is a 14-year-old Kilchoman matured in bourbon casks, the Rockside barley edition from the Family Collection First Edition, a selection made by the five members of the founding family.
Kilchoman is a farm distillery on Islay. This whisky was distilled in 2011 from barley grown on Rockside Farm and malted on site. Its phenol level is 20 ppm, which gives a subtle, elegant smokiness.
