Kilchoman 15 Year Old 20th Anniversary Cask Series is an Islay single malt released to mark the distillery's own 20th anniversary, bottled at 52.7%. It was matured in five oloroso sherry casks from 2008 and 2009.
Peat smoke, dark fruit and sea salt run through it, with an oily, full texture. The nose has dried fruit, dark chocolate and warm spices with a light salty breeze. The palate offers raisins, caramel and orange peel, then black pepper, liquorice and toasted nuts. The finish is long and warming, leaving sweetness, smoke and a maritime freshness.
