Kilchoman – 16 Years Old 2023 Edition (70cl)

A 16 year old Islay single malt from Kilchoman, in a 70cl bottle, released as the 2023 Edition. It is the oldest core age statement release the distillery has made to date. Kilchoman was established in 2005 and works on a farm to bottle basis, with barley grown, malted, distilled and matured on site. The spirit is peated. The nose brings mellow peat smoke, coastal brine, lemon zest and dried apricot. The palate pairs gentle peat with sweet vanilla, toasted nuts, dark chocolate, stewed apples and a little ginger. The finish is long and warming, with maritime notes and sweet oak.
