Kilchoman – 18 Family Collection First Edition Bourbon Matured Heavily Peated

This is an 18 year old single malt from Kilchoman, the farm distillery on Islay. It belongs to the Family Collection First Edition, selected by the five members of the founding family and made up of four single cask bottlings. It was matured in bourbon casks, using heavily peated barley at 50 ppm from Port Ellen Maltings. The aroma is intensely smoky, with depth and balance.
