Kilchoman 2013 100% Islay is a single cask Islay malt bottled for The Nectar. It was distilled on 20 June 2013 and bottled on 1 September 2020, after seven years in a single bourbon barrel. The cask gave 268 bottles at 53%.
The 100% Islay range is made with the barley grown, malted and distilled entirely on the Kilchoman farm. This bottling is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose has soft but distinct peat smoke, vanilla, citrus, light spice and bright malt. The palate shows vanilla, honey, toffee, roasted barley, salty smoke and fresh citrus. The finish is long, warming and smoky, with oak, sweet vanilla and maritime notes.
