Kilchoman Am Bùrach is a one-off Islay single malt released in 2020, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The name means "the chaos" in Gaelic. Two different Kilchoman whiskies, from bourbon barrels and port wine casks, were combined by accident, and the distillery chose to release the result. It is natural in colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose brings sweet peat smoke, red fruit, strawberry, citrus and honey. The palate is creamy and fruity, with raspberry, vanilla, caramel and toffee, and the finish is long and warm, with sweet port notes, smoke and soft oak.
