This is a single cask Islay malt from Kilchoman, distilled in 2010 and finished in Calvados casks, numbers 383 and 384. It is bottled at cask strength, 52.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, and made from peated malt at 50 ppm. It is number 4 of 10 in the Uniquely Islay series.
Kilchoman is an independent, family-owned distillery on Islay, founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills as a revival of farm distilling.
The Calvados finish brings fresh fruit, apple and apricot, along with a pastry sweetness.
