This is the 8th Edition of the Kilchoman Club releases, an 11 year old Islay single malt bottled at 54.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky vatted one Oloroso sherry butt with three bourbon barrels. The spirit was distilled in 2006 and 2007 and bottled on 27 November 2019, with 1,242 bottles filled.
The nose brings warm peat smoke, raisins, chocolate, citrus and vanilla, with maritime notes and light oak. On the palate sherry sweetness meets dark fruit, honey, toffee and roasted nuts above firm smoke. The finish is long and smoky, with cocoa, dried fruit, spice and lingering peat.
