Kilchoman Club Release 5th Edition is a 10 year old single malt made for members of the Kilchoman Club and bottled at a cask strength of 57% ABV. The outturn was 900 bottles, and the phenol level is 50 ppm.
What sets this edition apart is its age rather than any special cask treatment. Anthony Wills chose two of the few remaining casks from 2006, a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel and a fresh Oloroso sherry butt, and married them together.
The casks were filled in September and November 2006, and the whisky was bottled on 3 November 2016.
