Kilchoman – Family Collection 1st Edition 11 Year Old (70cl, 54.7%)

Kilchoman Family Collection 1st Edition is an 11 year old Islay single malt, the first release in a series celebrating the Wills family, who founded Kilchoman Distillery. It is bottled at 54.7% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and in natural colour. The nose is honeyed malt, baked apples, orange zest and dried apricots, with vanilla fudge and toasted oak, peat smoke underneath and a touch of sea spray. The palate is full-bodied, with sweet citrus, stone fruit and salted caramel, then earthy peat smoke, dark chocolate and a light maritime salinity. The finish is long and warming, with honey, citrus peel, gentle peat embers and toasted oak.
