Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2023 is an Islay single malt matured in oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46%. Kilchoman is a farm distillery on Rockside Farm in north-west Islay, founded in 2005.
The oloroso cask balances sweet sherry notes against peat smoke and a hint of aromatic fruit. The nose offers malt sweetness, peat smoke and citrus, softened by juicy raisins. The palate follows with caramel, smoked meat, ripe fruit, honey, orange peel and sea salt.
