Kilchoman – Machir Bay Cask Strength

Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength is a peated Islay single malt from one of the island's youngest distilleries, bottled at cask strength. Machir Bay takes its name from the bay beside one of Islay's most spectacular beaches. Maturation is mainly in bourbon casks, with a smaller share in oloroso sherry, and the character is classic Islay with floral, citrus and vanilla aromas. Expect an intense nose of citrus and peat, with flowers, ripe peach, pear and oak. The palate is rich and slightly oily, with tropical fruit, vanilla, honey and shortbread, and the finish brings light sherry, citrus, pepper and peat.
