Kilchoman – Machir Bay

Kilchoman Machir Bay is a peated single malt from Islay, named after the bay beside one of the island's most spectacular beaches. It comes from one of Islay's youngest distilleries. The whisky matures mainly in bourbon casks, with a smaller share in oloroso sherry. Classic Islay character sits alongside fresh floral, citrus and vanilla aromas. The nose is intense, with citrus and peat, ripe peach, pear and oak. The palate is rich and slightly oily, full of tropical fruit, vanilla, honey and buttery shortbread, and the light sherry influence arrives in the finish with citrus, pepper and peat.
