An Islay single malt from Kilchoman, distilled in May 2016 from barley peated to 50ppm. It matured for five years and three months in 46 first-fill ex-Madeira barrels and was bottled in August 2021 at 50% ABV. The edition runs to 17,000 bottles worldwide.
The nose is caramel, orange peel and prunes with mixed spice and rich smoke. The palate brings lemon zest and peach, raisins, almonds and dark chocolate, with well-integrated smoke. The finish is juicy fortified wine, burnt sugar and red fruit, with a lingering smoky Christmas cake note.
