Kilchoman – Maury Cask Matured Single Malt (50%)

This is a Kilchoman single malt matured for its full term in ex-Maury casks. Maury is a sweet fortified wine from the Roussillon region of southern France, made mainly from Grenache noir grapes. It is the distillery's first release using this type of cask. The whisky is a marriage of nineteen casks, which add sweet and tangy notes alongside Kilchoman's gentle peat. It has a deep crimson colour and is bottled at 50% abv. On the palate there are layers of dates, raisins and dark honey, with peat smoke and a citrus sweetness.
