Kilchoman – Port Cask Matured 2024 (50%)

This is a limited edition Kilchoman single malt from Islay, aged entirely in ruby port casks for a minimum of six years. The hogsheads vary in age, and the youngest is six years old. Layers of red berries and smoked meats sit alongside Kilchoman's maritime peat smoke and citrus sweetness. On the nose come red berries, figs, citrus, cinnamon and smoked paprika. The palate offers cooked strawberries, smoked meats, sweet tobacco and charcoal smoke, and the warming finish combines fruity sweetness with ashy smoke.
