This is the 2023 edition of Kilchoman's PX Sherry Cask, an Islay single malt matured for five years in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, from a run of 23,000 bottles.
The notes describe smoke alongside a basket of fruit on the nose. Cherries, redcurrants and raspberries lead the palate, with liquorice, nutmeg, pepper and peat behind them. The finish is long, with a touch of coffee.
