Kilchoman – Rockside 11 Year Old

Kilchoman Rockside is an 11 year old Islay single malt, lightly peated at 20 ppm and matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Every step, from the barley through malting and drying to distillation, maturation and bottling, took place on Rockside Farm at Kilchoman, which makes it Islay's only single farm single malt. The nose shows oranges, lemon peel, delicate elderflower, fine honey sweetness and maritime smoke. On the palate, citrus returns alongside tropical fruit, barley sugar, toffee apples, salted caramel and subtle peat smoke. The finish brings butterscotch, walnuts, lingering juicy citrus and stone fruit.
