This is the second Dark Batch edition of Kilchoman Sanaig bottled at cask strength, following the first Sanaig Cask Strength release in 2024. It is an Islay single malt matured in sherry and bourbon casks and bottled at 57.5%.
Kilchoman presents it as its sherry-led Sanaig in natural cask strength, pairing intense smoke with the sweetness of ripe fruit and warm cinnamon.
On the nose there is rich, sherry-infused smoke with sultanas, red berries and orange zest. The palate offers dark chocolate and sticky raisins, with sweet barbecue smoke. The finish is ashy smoke, waves of sweetness and rich spices.
