Kilchoman – Sanaig (70cl, 46%)

Kilchoman Sanaig is an Islay single malt with a clear sherry influence, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The sherry casks sit alongside the smoke that marks Kilchoman, with peat, sweet fruit and warm spice in the mix. The nose is described as dried fruit, soft peat, honey and cocoa. On the palate come creamy chocolate, raisins, smoke and a light saltiness, followed by a long, warm finish of spice and sherry sweetness.
