Kilchoman – Sanaig

Kilchoman Sanaig is a vatted malt of 4 and 5 year old whiskies, matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. It was first bottled only for the British market. The peating level is 50 ppm, and the sherry casks play a larger part than in Kilchoman's Machir Bay. The nose is delicate, with soft stewed fruit, creamy caramel and fine vanilla. On the palate, elegant peat smoke and sweet caramel are well balanced, with a splash of citrus. The finish is long, with peaty smoke again and sweet fruit.
