Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt from the Glengyle distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky is described as balanced between sweetness and spice, with a light, fresh character and a faint maritime smokiness.
On the nose there is freshly cut grass, floral notes and citrus, with lemon and orange. Ripe apples and pears come through on the palate alongside honey, then cinnamon, ginger and black pepper. The finish is long and lightly dry, with warming spice and a little smoke fading slowly.
