Kilkerran 12 is a lightly peated Campbeltown single malt, matured in a combination of 70% bourbon casks and 30% sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings sweet confectionery, with Turkish delight, pear drops and marzipan, and subtle peat smoke like toasted marshmallows by a campfire. The palate is zesty at first, with lemon cheesecake and an oily texture, before peat smoke, leather, pepper and sticky toffee pudding develop. The finish carries campfire embers, pecan pie and butterscotch.
