This is a 12 year old single malt from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose is fresh and light, with cut grass and floral notes, then lemon and orange, and a slight smokiness with a maritime touch. The palate balances sweetness and spice: ripe apples and pears, a hint of citrus and soft honey, followed by cinnamon, ginger, black pepper and a little peat smoke. The finish is long and slightly dry, with lingering spice, faint smoke and a subtle sweetness.
