King of Kentucky Small Batch 12 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Brown-Forman, released as Batch 3 of the revived King of Kentucky line. It is aged for 12 years and bottled at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtering.
The barrels for the batch were selected and blended to give layers of oak, caramel, spice and dark fruit.
The nose is described as caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, baking spice and dried fruit, with a hint of leather. On the palate there are toffee, brown sugar, dark fruit, oak spice and roasted nuts. The finish is long and warming, with oak, spice and caramelised sugar.
