This is a 2017 single malt from KinGlassie, a Lowland distillery in Glenrothes, Fife. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46.3% and is labelled Double Matured.
Ian Palmer founded the distillery, which began production in December 2015. Its aim is to concentrate flavour in the spirit. It uses a mash filter press in place of a traditional mash tun, giving a higher sugar content in the wort, and double condensers behind the stills increase contact with copper. Careful wood management is part of the approach too.
