Kingsbarns – Balcomie Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Balcomie is a single malt from Kingsbarns Distillery in Fife, in the Lowlands of Scotland, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. The whisky is matured exclusively in ex-Oloroso American oak sherry butts, which gives it a sherried, fruity character. On the nose there are sultanas, dried figs, baking spices, orange peel and sweet malt. The palate is rich and rounded, with toffee, dates, red berries, cinnamon and a touch of nutty oak. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering sherry sweetness and soft spice.
