Doocot is a young, soft single malt from the Kingsbarns distillery, a Lowland producer near the east coast. It was matured in ex-bourbon and STR casks and is bottled at 46% vol.
The nose is sweet and harmonious, with candied pineapple, freshly baked banana bread and brown rock sugar. The palate is full-bodied, with juicy mango, tropical fruit and red wine cake, plus a little vanilla. The finish is of pleasant length, with tropical fruit and caramel sweets.
