Kingsbarns – Doocot (70cl)

Kingsbarns Doocot is the flagship single malt from the Kingsbarns distillery in Fife, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks and STR ex-Portuguese red wine casks, with a longer time in cask than earlier releases. The name comes from the doocot, the Scots word for dovecot. It is the oldest space in the distillery's restored farmstead and holds the first fill cask from March 2015. Tasting notes describe a sweet, floral nose of soft brown sugar, banana cake batter and tropical notes, then pineapple syrup, summer berries and rhubarb, finishing on kiwi fruit and citrus zest.
