Kirin Fuji Single Malt is a Japanese single malt made entirely at Fuji Gotemba Distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Malt whiskies of different characters are brought together in it, with the focus on fragrance, texture and balance. The distillery stands at the foot of Mt. Fuji, where the climate is cool and humid and the water is filtered naturally through the mountain. The style leans towards ripe fruit and gentle sweetness rather than heavy oak or smoke. On the nose it offers apple, pineapple and citrus peel with crème brûlée and honey. The palate brings white peach, pear and apricot with creamy sweetness, and the finish carries orchard fruit and malt sweetness with subtle oak.
