Kurayoshi Pure Malt (70cl)

Kurayoshi Pure Malt is a Japanese malt whisky made by Matsui Shuzo in Tottori Prefecture, in a 70cl bottle. It is a vatting of several selected malts, aged for a minimum of three years in oak casks that previously held sherry. The nose is delicate, with malt and dried fruit, and light smoke and chocolate emerging slowly. On the palate it is velvety, with sweet malt, caramel and a trace of spice. The sweetness gives way to a drier, lightly peated aftertaste, and the finish is soft and lingering.
