La Guita En Rama Manzanilla NV (37.5cl)

La Guita En Rama is a non-vintage Manzanilla sherry from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, made entirely from Palomino and sold in a 375ml bottle. The grapes come mainly from Pago de Miraflores. The wine is aged for five years in American oak, selected from casks in a solera system a hundred years old, and is bottled in the En Rama style, without clarification or stabilisation. The bodega works from the old Hospital de la Santa Misericordia building, whose door appears on the label. The nose shows baked apple, hazelnut, chamomile and salt air. On the palate come preserved lemon peel, iodine, almond and green olive, then dried apricot, mandarin and a sea urchin richness.
