Lagavulin – 8 Year Old

Lagavulin 8 Year Old is an Islay single malt, first released to mark the distillery's 200th anniversary. It has since become a regular part of the Lagavulin range. Peat smoke leads, with maritime influences, citrus fruit, spice and a mineral character alongside. The nose opens with aromatic peat smoke, fresh citrus, light sweetness and coastal notes, with hints of malt, herbs and pepper. On the palate it is lively, with smoke, lemon and sweet malt, then black pepper and dry oak. The finish is long, dry and warming, with peat smoke, spice and a touch of coastal salt.
