Lagavulin 8 Year Old is an eight-year-old Islay single malt Scotch whisky, in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose it brings honey-roasted nuts, salted popcorn, tarry rope and a touch of burnt sugar. The palate carries Islay peat, softened by cumin, coriander seed, barley sugar and smoked kipper, with marzipan following.
The finish is long, with hints of char and ash, and a note of minty dark chocolate that leaves the mouth fresh.
