Lagavulin 8 Year Old is a single malt released to mark the 200th anniversary of the distillery, founded by John Johnston in 1816. It takes its inspiration from Alfred Barnard's visit in the 1880s, when he tried an 'exceptionally fine' eight-year-old from Lagavulin.
It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is big and smoky, with a sweet spice that becomes more apparent when a drop of water is added.
