This is an 8 year old Islay single malt from Lagavulin, bottled by the distillery at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its colour is a reddish gold.
The character is smoky and fruity with a peppery edge, built around peat smoke, citrus and spice.
The nose brings strong peat smoke with orange and lemon peel, pepper and wood, and a light malt sweetness. On the palate it is full and rich, with peat, tobacco and warm spice, plus coriander and sweet barley. The finish is long and smoky, with apple, roasted almonds and ash.
