LAIE Red Vermouth (1L)

LAIE is a sweet red vermouth from Catalonia, in a one-litre bottle. It is made by the region's oldest vermouth maker using methods followed since 1880. The base is Penedès wine from Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada grapes, macerated with 20 natural aromatics including wormwood, gentian, elderflower, cinnamon, young walnuts and local citrus rinds. Amber in colour, it has a nose of cocoa, orange peel, elderflower and brûléed caramel. On the palate, bittering spices and dry flowers meet the warmth of caramelised sugar, and the finish is clean with lingering cinnamon and cola. It can be served on the rocks with a slice of orange and an olive, or used in cocktails.
