A single cask Founder's Reserve from Langatun, made from malted barley and matured for eleven years in sherry cask number 135. It was distilled on 11 October 2010 and bottled on 10 March 2022 at 49.12%, in a run of 382 numbered 50cl bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The sherry maturation brings together dark fruit, spice and bitter oak.
The nose has strong wood notes, creamy caramel and popcorn, with raisins, candied pineapple, marzipan and cinnamon. Maple syrup and caramelised pears lead the palate, with nougat, roast coffee, red wine, liquorice and gentle herbs. The finish is long and intense, with pronounced sweetness and sherry.
