Jacob's Dram is a Swiss single malt from Langatun, dedicated to its founder, Jakob Baumberger. It matures entirely in Pinot Noir casks, which shape its fruity, woody character. This is batch 593/09/25, bottled at 49.12% ABV in a 50cl bottle and presented in a wooden box. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
On the nose there is sweet wood, fresh Gugelhopf dough and raisins, with apples, dark berries and fine spice. The palate is balanced, sweet and creamy, with vanilla, gingerbread, roasted nuts and bitter almond. The finish is long, round and warming, with a light fruit acidity.
