Old Deer Classic is the single malt from Langatun, a distillery founded in 1986 by Jakob Baumberger in a former brewery. This one comes in a 50cl bottle.
It is made from European malted barley and English stout yeast, then triple distilled. Maturation takes place in sherry and chardonnay oak casks.
The character is fruity, with vegetal notes. Hans Baumberger, the third generation to run the distillery, began making its first single malt in 2007.
