This is a 10 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Laphroaig, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. After at least ten years of ageing, it is finished in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, which adds a sweet twist to the distillery's robust character.
The peat smoke Laphroaig is known for stays in front, balanced by sweet and spicy notes from the Oloroso sherry.
The nose is intense, with Manuka honey, clove, baked bacon, leather, iodine and fresh pine needles.
