This is the 2020 edition of Laphroaig 25 Years, an Islay single malt from the distillery founded in 1815. It matured in ex-bourbon casks and is bottled at 49.8% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is refined, with smoke, yellow fruit and vanilla. On the palate there is peat smoke alongside a medicinal note, then apple with cinnamon and vanilla. The finish is long and warm.
