A ten-year-old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, Batch 15 of its cask strength series. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks, bottled in December 2021 at 56.5% and is sold in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is non-chill-filtered, and this batch was a run of 210 bottles for the Swiss market.
The nose is sweet grain, fresh oak and pipe tobacco, with a little leather, nutmeg and vanilla. On the palate it is sweet and spicy, with vanilla, toffee and sea salt, and a touch of cinnamon and pepper. The finish is long, with lingering spice, oak tannins, iodine and sea salt.
