Laphroaig – Lore (48%)

Laphroaig Lore is an Islay single malt bottled at 48% ABV. It combines whisky aged between 7 and 21 years, matured in small batches in five different casks, including first-fill bourbon casks, quarter casks and Oloroso sherry hogsheads. The name refers to the knowledge and traditions passed down between generations of distillery workers. It was created by distillery manager John Campbell. The nose is smoky, with sea minerals, a hint of ash, bitter chocolate, vanilla, caramel and malt sweetness. The palate is peat with a chilli bite, and a few drops of water bring out creamy fruit and citrus. The finish is dry, then long and sweet.
