Lark Distillery Monty Cask Release Single Malt (50cl, 44%)

A single malt from Lark Distillery in Tasmania, released in late 2020 as a limited run of 300 individually numbered bottles. It is bottled at 44% in a 50cl bottle. The spirit comes from the Bothwell Distillery, home of Nant Single Malt, and was matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. It was then finished in two fresh Amontillado casks selected from Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley, with a delicate spirit chosen so as not to overpower them. It is described as bright and spirited, with light vanilla, orchard fruit and the Amontillado character coming through.
