Lark Tasmanian Peated is a single malt from Lark Distillery in Tasmania, bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle.
The barley is malted with peat from Lark's own bogs in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. The spirit is distilled in copper pot stills and matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
On the nose it is typically described as campfire smoke, roasted malt and leather, with vanilla, honey and baked apple and a coastal freshness. The palate brings peat, toffee and spice, then burnt sugar, oak and citrus zest. The finish is long and smoky, with ash, honeycomb and soft oak.
