Laws Whiskey House – Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 47.5%)

Laws Four Grain Straight Bourbon is a Colorado bourbon bottled at 47.5% in a 750ml bottle. It is made from grain to glass in Denver, from a mash bill of 60% corn, 20% wheat, 10% rye and 10% malted barley, all heirloom varieties grown by two Colorado family farms. Each grain is cooked separately, then fermented as an open-air sour mash and distilled on site. The bourbon is aged for at least three years in new 53-gallon charred oak barrels in Denver's high-altitude climate. The distillery describes orange blossom, black tea, honey and dusty pepper on the nose. The palate offers pekoe tea, orange peel, cinnamon and vanilla custard, leading to sweet tobacco, spice and a rich, dry finish.
