This is a straight rye whiskey from Laws Whiskey House in Colorado, bottled in bond in a 75cl bottle. It is described as the first Bottled in Bond rye in the state's history. The grain is a low-yield, semi-wild rye grown at 8,000 feet in the San Luis Valley, where the Cody family has cultivated it since the 1930s. It comes from a single season's harvest, distilled by Laws and aged for at least four years in the distillery's federally bonded rickhouse, in charred oak barrels. The nose is sweet grass with honey and brine. The palate brings wild mint and fennel, then sea salt, orange tea and brown sugar. The finish carries tobacco notes and a rich, buttery mouthfeel.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
