Laws Whiskey House San Luis Valley Straight Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Colorado, in a 750ml bottle at 47.5% ABV. The rye grows 8,000 feet above sea level in the San Luis Valley, where the Cody family has cultivated this low-yield, semi-wild grain since the 1930s.
The nose is floral and perfumed, with baking spice and orange oil. The palate brings black tea, sweet mint, salted toffee, orange peel and stewed fig, and the finish carries a bright green peppercorn spice.
